Weapons Courses

Follow-up range class

You spoke and we listened.  Some past students have asked that we incorporate a follow up class to implement some of our unique shooting techniques.  Shooting is a fine motor skill that can and will deteriorate if you do not continue training.  This class is for past students who would like to continue training on the new skills they have learned.  The rate of this class will be determined by how long you would like to shoot.  We can re-teach and refresh you on skills learned in the basic or intermediate class.  Contact us for dates and rates.  There will be no classroom in this follow up.  All time will be spent on the range or the range waiting area.  Ammo requirements will be up to you.

Intermediate gun course

Protecting your home and family

Once you are comfortable with your gun it is time to learn more advanced tactics. This class starts with a few safety guidelines and then moves into structure searches.  You will learn the proper way to check your residence in case of an intruder in your home including how to shoot while utilizing a flashlight, night sights or reflex sights.  There are many rumors and stories of people being shot by their own guns.  We will teach you how to not be that statistic.  We will then go over shooting while considering your backgrounds.  This is important for anyone who has an intruder, but also has other family members or loved ones in their home.  We will explain weapon retention in case you do encounter someone and end up fighting for your gun.  You will speak to instructors who have knowledge of what to expect if you do ever have to use deadly force.  The range time for this class will be a refresher in static shooting and then move into shooting from other positions.  This class will be offered to as few as 8 students and as many as 24 depending on availability of instructors.  A max of 4 students per instructor.  The class will take approximately 5 hours depending on the speed of the students.  The cost of the course is $125 which includes your range fee.  A deposit of $25 will hold your seat and is applied to the cost.  See payment policy.

Advanced gun course

Stress course

This is the advanced course to address higher stress situations. In any deadly force situation, adrenaline causes physical and psychological changes which greatly influence vision, hearing, breathing, heart rate and other senses.  This class will raise your stress level and your awareness of how you function under stress. It will explain how to get a family member out of harm in case of an intruder.  We will then go over some methods to disarm an assailant who does have a gun on you.  We will instruct on shooting from different positions.  We will define the differences between proper cover vs. concealment and include a cover to cover drill.  We will put in a shoot/no shoot course in which you will have to decide very quickly whether or not to shoot targets.  This will help you make split second decisions and improve your muscle memory when the time comes in real life.  There will be an optional stress scenario where role players will engage you in gun fire (using Sim guns).  The purpose of this course is to see how students respond to stress so please inform instructors of any health concerns.  There is range time with this course and 200 rounds and your gun are needed.  Also bring extra magazines or speed loaders if you have them.  The class size will be from 4-12 persons and will take 5 hours.  The cost of this course is $200 which includes your range fee.  A deposit of $25 will hold your seat and is applied to the cost.  See payment policy.
